Ozempic is registered in Europe for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The active substance, semaglutide, is registered for weight loss in a higher dose (2.4 mg) under the name Wegovy. Doctors can prescribe Ozempic for obesity; during the consultation the doctor discusses whether that is appropriate in your situation.
