Foundayo is the brand name of orforglipron, a daily GLP-1 tablet from Eli Lilly. Unlike most GLP-1 medicines it is a pill, not an injection. It is approved in the United States; in Europe that process is still ongoing. Once the medicine is registered and available in the Netherlands, our doctors will assess whether it fits within the treatment program.

Where does approval stand?

Orforglipron has not yet been approved by the EMA in the EU. After any approval, it still takes a while before a medicine is available through Dutch pharmacies. No official dates are known.

There is no official date yet. The medicine must first be approved by the EMA. This page is updated as soon as there is news.

You can join the waiting list. Leave your e-mail address and we will let you know as soon as Foundayo is approved and available in the Netherlands. That is all it is: any treatment then follows our regular programme, in which a doctor assesses which treatment is suitable.

Yes. Foundayo is the brand name under which orforglipron was launched in the United States. Our orforglipron information page covers how it works, the studies, and the side effects.

No. Websites offering Foundayo or orforglipron today are acting illegally and the products may be counterfeit or unsafe. After approval, the medicine will be available by prescription only through pharmacies.

That is not yet known. Pricing in the Netherlands only becomes clear after European approval and availability. Once the treatment is available with us, we show the costs transparently, as with all our treatments.
